Out of the courtyard , the people were waiting the rule of the judgement,some of them were the friends or from the near relations of the accused person , and the others were his enemies , but at the case of Christ there were no friends or relations, because the Leaders accused him, that He makes himself a king as an enemy for The Caesar(John 19.12) .All his companions escaped , lest they may accuse them that they were his partners . The habitual roman system obliged the officer who work as a writer before the Prince, to exit first from the courtyard after the signing of the prince, to reveal the rule of the Judgement , He used to read it from the list of the accuses of the accused person ,So, he did that and chose one of the citizens to carry the vertical wood and bound the list at its high end,and they used to order him to hurry up to the place of the crucifixion , to dig a hole and put the lower end of the  wood in the hole, and bounding it with the help of some little peaces of wood ,in order to make the vertical wood able to carry the heaviness of the accused person's body, and wait the accused person  ,It was "Simon the Cyrenian" (Luke 23.26) BUT in the case of "Jesus Christ " they did not make him hurry up, but they ordered him to walk after him , perhaps to slow the crucification process, in order to make the case proclaimed enough  ,  another officer was obliged to guard the accused person inside the courtyard, who must exit with the accused person , who was  wrapped by a heavy peace of wood on his shoulders7*(Westminster Dictionary of the Bible , 1944.), opening his hands, which was wrapped tightly to the wood , The Greek called that wood 'Patapolum", it was used instead of the iron ties ,Therefore the vertical wood with the attached list were in the scene, at the site of the crucifixion they located the accused person on to the ground ,dragged him until his legs became attached to the vertical wood , and raised him from his back in order to make the vertical wood on his back attached to the horizontal one which he was carrying, then they were pounding the vertical wood with the horizontal wood, which was already on his shoulder , using the nails ,the crucified persons legs was on the ground ,cut his cloths 7*( J Denney "The Death of Christ" ) , they raised it, bent his knees, and bound it with nails, some times they left his hands wrapped to the wood , but in the case of "Jesus" they used the nails to bound it to the wood ( John20.25) .Then the crucified person at the cross ,the list of accuses over  his head ,bent his knee ,opened his hands, hanged over the earth , but what was the rest of the Roman practices during that process which must ended with the death of the crucified person . follow us .     please leave a comment .                                    Thank you .                                         Rev.
