The beginning of a new covenant
The Covenant of reconciliation
After the sin of The First Adam our Lord Jesus Christ as He is The Second Adam (E.Brunner , " The Mediator " 194 7 We disagree with the writer when he said that Jesus Christ returned us by the cross to be in God's own image ,but we agree with him in the rest of his opinion ) , he recorded that the Second Adam our Lord Jesus Christ has completed the reconciliation , when Adam encroach on the rights of God , He came according to God's eternal promise , that the seed of the woman is able to make the r4econcilation between the man and God , Colossians 1: 20 "And having made peace through the blood of his cross , by him to reconcile all things unto himself , by him , I say ,whether they be things in earth or things in heaven " and reconcile all the nations to create the universal church ( R. Newton Flow .,"Jesus and his church" 1938 .) , which consists of both Jews and Gentiles, because God does not differentiate between the different nations " where there is neither Greek nor Jews , circumcision nor uncircumcision , Barbarian , Scythian,bond nor free but Christ is all " Colossians 3: 11 .
And he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross having slain enmity thereby .
He was on the cross the mediator who made the reconciliation between man and God and that might revealed in the redemption covenant when the veil of the temple rent from the top to bottom to pave the way for us to inter to the Holiest by his blood ( Hebrew 10 : 19 )
When the Roman Centurion confessed his faith in concern of Christ who was on the cross , it was a proof that the new age or era has begun , in fact it was a new covenant w3hich has been established by God to held it between the man and God to be used by the elect people , who came from every nation and from everywhere , For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son , that whose ever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life " .
We became by the cross qualified to accept the atonement for the reconciliation era to inter the covenant of Grace, the covenant of reconciliation .
The covenant of redemption.
In the covenant of redemption Christ was on the cross a High priest 30* ( A.M. Stibes art., " Commentary on Hebrews , New Bible Commentary Revised . pp. 1206 - 1209 ) ( Hebrew7 : 24 " But this man , because he continueth ever , hath an unchangeable priesthood ".
The writer of the book of Hebrew in 9 : 11- 15 told us about the results of that offering , First :- in v 11 " But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come , by a greater and more perfect tabernacle , not made with hands , that is to say , not of this building v 12 , 13 , 14 "Neither by the blood of goats and calves , but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place , having obtained eternal redemption for us . For if the blood of bulls and of goats , and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean , sanctifieth to the purifying or flesh ; How much more shall the blood of Christ , who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God . "
Second : - The results of that offering created an eternal redemption , because his offering were offered one time Hebrew 7 : 27 " Who needeth not daily , as those high priests , to offer a sacrifice first for his sin , and then for the people's for this he did once , when he offered up himself ' . it will not repeated by him or by any person , so the faithful's opportunity to worship and serve the live God through that offering because it has a continuous moral values not as the offering of Moses which had a ritual practice must be repeated .
Third : - He produced with that offering using his eternal spirit , His eternity gave the offering its continious effects to the future human generations after it .
Forth : - By the cross he became a mediator of the new age or testament not as the testament of Moses , because He is able more than Moses to give pardons to His elect people , giving them the right to stand before God by the value of his offering on the cross .
The Cross was the end of the offering covenant , the purpose of every offering was the redemption , but the cross paved the way to the faithfuls to inter to the eternal covenant of redemption , now they have the right to inter with confidence to the throne odf the grace to ask their father about their needs through the mediator of the new testament who has offered His eternal offering once for the eternal ages, to the time of end they will find their way to the hollies , some people imagined that the cross was an alter , and that it consists of vertical wood to maintain the reconciliation between the earth and the heaven , and a horizontal wood to maintain the meaning of reconciliation between the Jews and the Gentiles ......... etc., but we prefer to comment on the bi9ble thoughts according to the Biblical contents only .
